Have you gotten a glimpse of the good things about to happen in YOUR life? If so, did it make you despise where you are right now? Now if the answer to that is yes, hold on for a minute. I’d like to share some things with you.
Being fed up with one’s current situation, whether financial, relational, physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual, is good to the point of wanting to do something about it to make it (the situation) better. However, don’t throw the baby out with the bath water (figuratively speaking).
See and extract the purpose from inside of those unpleasant experiences, learn from them, and carry the lessons learned forward with you so that you may be able to help others when THEY come to that same spot in their lives.
There is a scripture that I love: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22 ESV). I’ve come to realize that while waiting for “the good things” to come to pass, I have to take action on what is right in front of me. You see, intentions, actions, and results are three separate ideas. You can INTEND all you want, but if you don’t take any ACTIONS you won’t see any RESULTS.
Never lose appreciation for what you’re doing because of where you’re going. Please don’t ‘over-spiritualize’ this. Others need a glimpse also, and they need you to show them the practical applications of how you DID IT after you’ve DONE IT. So I say to you today…Always follow your hopes and dreams, but be smart enough to know what to DO in between.
God bless you!
