“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

“My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:2).

We all face difficult conditions, situations and circumstances. Our actions vary from each encounter. During these different and difficult encounters, we don’t have to face them alone.

In 2011, we had the worst flood in the history of our town (Cairo, Illinois). People were worried, depressed and some even had to evacuate the city for weeks on end. As we lodged in various hotels, food was provided by local churches in the areas we stayed. We are thankful for God’s people everywhere.

It was difficult and sometimes frustrating not knowing the outcome of this ordeal. But through this turmoil, God provided the support we needed through the kindness of others.

Many of you have faced hardship while trying to find solutions to your troublesome occasions. Finding resolution may be difficult, but it is not impossible. Remember, the Lord will never leave nor forsake his saints.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
