I have found that many who should be focused on Christ-following often end up following every wind that blows. A believer’s world view should NOT change with every election cycle, calamity, or any other major event, but we often see in the world we live in that that’s exactly what keeps happening with those who claim sincerity. So this writer begs the question, “where are the true believers?”
I believe I read in the scriptures somewhere (Psalm 102:25-27; Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 1:10-12; Hebrews 13:8; James 1:17) that the Lord remains constant. Yet, for the sake of what I’ll just call ‘dispensational correctness’ (if there is such a term), some have rendered the explanation of “that was then, this is now” or that “there are now more variables to the equation than there were before”. I would not want to make a gamble for eternity under the hopes that flip-flopping would be the correct move…Being a believer means following Jesus, not anyone else.
While the world lives a life of compromise, true believers must remain constant with their faith and convictions. So I say let us stand up and show our world where the true believers are – those who will daily demonstrate what it means to be Christ-followers. Let’s keep our focus on Christ, so that we CAN meet the needs of our communities with the heart of Christ!

If we are followers of Christ we have to remain constant just as He is. I too see so many people who will turn on the evening news and their faith goes out the window. It can sometimes be scary or make you quiver (the news) but, “whose report will you believe?”
Good word Derek Eurales.
